I'm not saying this doesn't count necessarily, but to me idk if I'd count it as a trilogy. A trilogy by definition is a grouping of three related things, LOTR is a singular piece. The closest thing it had to an actual plot problem was ~~Blake figuring out Batman's identity~~ but in the ending the reconcile this to a degree by making the logic behind it more true than Blake realized. It was still clumsy but it's not like they weren't doing anything with it.
