Socialdemocratic leader and Swedish Prime-Minister since October 2014, Stefan Löfven, is intent on not letting Sweden go back to having more generous immigration laws than the EU-minimum. So the latest proposal in a string of harsher immigration laws implemented under Löfven is letting the police "arrest" immigrant children from families denied the right to stay in Sweden. The time immigrant adults can be held in police custody is also to be extended if Parliament approve these new laws. The Socdems have gotten most of their immigration bills through Parliament despite opposition from the Far-Left and from Liberal MPs.
