Wonder Woman is the DC movie I've been waiting for. It's exciting, inspiring, funny, and has some truly awe-inspiring action scenes. There are certainly some issues, like a mismatched 3rd act, but I'll discuss that in a longer review. Overall though, Wonder Woman rules.

Happy to report 'Wonder Woman' is a blast and @GalGadot is fantastic. Her chemistry with Chris Pine is magnetic. Absolutely recommended. Best part of ‘Wonder Woman’ is the film has really funny parts and an optimistic and heroic protagonist. Great step forward for DC Films.

To be fair Man of Steel was meh. BvS and Suicide Squad were garbage. I am pleasantly surprised if this one ends up being good. The comments about this movie having soul is a really good sign. None of the DCEU movies so far have managed that well at all.

Thank God, I can finally be somewhat excited now. Wonder Woman has been a long time in coming for the film, and it really shouldn't have taken as long as it did. And maybe DC will break out of this spell they seem to be in too.

Well I thought critics were a little too harsh on Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, so it sounds like I'll really enjoy this!

Called it. This is going to be DC's 'Iron Man' movie moment. Take a character from your comics that either has never been relevant, or rarely so, in overall pop culture. Then craft a believable and fun action movie centered around them through the use of excellent casting, semi-decent scriptwriting, and overall good movie making skills.

It's called NOT putting Zack Snyder in the director's chair. Believe it or not, but you actually can have sweet action scenes that take place in daytime!

This has been needed for some time. Marvel needs some real competition, and the only one who can bring it has finally got something good in the making. This is only a good thing for movie and comic fans alike.

I don't want to get my hopes up. From memory BvS received hugely positive reviews before the embargo. I'll most likely wait a week or two for hype to die down. Who're I decide whether I'll see it or not.

That being said the trailer looks very different from what's preceded it and it does look good. I did say the same about suicide squad though

BvS had fan screenings so this is sorta different. A lot easier to get into BvS if you're with a hyped crowd that made up for the lack of character found in the movie.

I don't blame you for being cautious though.

Yeah, but the movie isn't obsessing over that like Elektra and Catwoman did. It's part of her character but not overt or over the top.

(This is also a problem for Harley Quinn if you ask me)

I'm gradually going from "pessimistic but hoping for the best" to "cautiously optimistic." Gal Gadot is an awesome looking Wonder Woman, but unfortunately she has fallen flat when it came to acting the part rather than posing in pictures.

But if she acts better in the new movie, or she's surrounded by good directing and a good script, then it could be good.

Still not going to count my chickens yet though. It may not be as bad as the worst DCEU movies but that doesn't mean it's good.

Awesome. A movie that will suck less anus than BvS.

I really hope it's good. I'm not particularly big on Wonder Woman, but I think that by putting her movie so far back in time before MoS/BvS, in a conflict that's already built on camaraderie and heroism, is the best possible choice to establish a powerful and heroic character.

Well, this is good, considering that Wonder Woman's entire philosophy is peace, love, and understanding. (Also "loving submission", but that ideal may be a bit out of style these days >_>)

It's really easy to write Wonder Woman as a furious amazon terminator woman. So this statement makes me feel good. <_<

It's not. The ultimate edition turned that movie from a 3/10 to a 5/10 for me: barely watchable but still a colossal disappointment.

She's worse in the comics. She was killing people in the comics while Superman was still horrified at it despite Superman killing The Joker first. Towards the end of the first volume she just runs Ares straight through while calling him the "God of Ponies" and Superman is like "What the fuck?" and Aquaman tells WW to get Superman to talk to him about how Aquaman managed to rule Atlantis peacefully for years and WW basically tells him to fuck off and doesn't mention anything about it to Superman.
