Poll of the Day > I was at my Walmart interview the other day and I heard a Walmart chant

in the break room. I really hope that was a one time thing because that's super lame. Also I have group orientation today for my personal shopper job, so I'm hoping that chant won't be part of the agenda.

They should hire people competent enough to align things on a shelf.

What do I know though, I'm just a freelance programmer who can't get a job at Kroger's.

because it sucks to work there and they need you to drink the kool aid

At my store it's completely option unless you're an unloader... they have to go sometimes for some reason. I only ever had to do it once when I had to tell people what the Switch was pre-release...

Must be just that store.

been with walmart seven years never done it. however im never there on weekday mornings when i think they happen. plus imma cashier so likely i couldnt leave my post.

I'm pretty sure every store does it at the morning meetings. I've been to a couple where they did it but nobody was like super enthusiastic about it or anything.

I worked there 15 years ago as a cashier.

We did the stupid chant. It sucked.

Also, they locked the doors at night and didn't let us out until the store was closed to their satisfaction.

Well, this store closes at midnight, but the overnight crew stays til about 7 AM. They lock the automatic doors in front, but there's a side door that's unlocked 24/7.

Nah you're supposed to do it for the night shift meeting too, but given that the store manager only works during the morning/day they pretty much never do it.
