OMG and sometimes it will randomly decide to lock on to something off the the side for about a quarter of a second.

Don't forget to collect all the multicolor coins...some of which enemies are carrying

Let's add some man-eating sharks that can insta-kill you with a single bite. And let's have the escort die in one hit from them as well. And the sharks are un-killable, so you have to stun them with your weapon to safely pass by, only that they stay stunned for like, just 4 seconds.

Let's also have dark sections where you have to shoot electric jellyfish with some specialized ammo to agitate them so they light up the way. Oh, but if you shoot them with your normal weaponry they die and you're forced to navigate in pitch darkness. Also, if you get too close to these jellyfish you get electrocuted/stunned(wider stun field if you activated them), stopping you dead in your tracks while setting you up to be killed by some other deadly marine life. But for ****s and giggles, the escort is for some reason completely immune to them and blindly, quickly swims THROUGH them while you have to slow down and hit the jellies properly just to see where you(and the escort) are going.

The boss at the end also uses an unavoidable stun attack.

There is a squid enemy with an ink attack that turns the screen completely black for 3 seconds

Someone needs to make this level.

Just anyone with knowledge of like Unreal Engine 4 or something, go and make just a quick standalone game that is this one level and make it contain everything posted ITT.

And it could have like a slider that toggles each horrible element so you can customize just how unplayable you want it to be.

Or it could start out normal with just being a regular underwater mission, but each time you complete it it adds another gameplay mechanic.
