Portugal and Bulgaria, two countries with very lacklustre Eurovision results in their "baggage", absolutely CRUSHED all the other nations. They got 748 and 615 points respectively while the 3rd place got something with 300. So they showed that making an effort and sending the right song does pay off. Some countries complain about poor results each year but perhaps it has to do with what they send? :P
The official performances are apparently blocked in some countries like the US but these videos will hopefully work :) --- "BalanceLost has a steam-powered PS2 because Sweden don't have electric" - dimeanatrix ... Copied to Clipboard!

you think one day UK can win? You've won a freaking 5 times, only Sweden and Ireland got more wins :P So for you to win again should not be impossible. --- "BalanceLost has a steam-powered PS2 because Sweden don't have electric" - dimeanatrix ... Copied to Clipboard!

How the fuck did Portugal were the entries really that lackluster?
And just driving around listening to American radio songs like the Bulgarian one are a fucking dime a dozen. Which leads me to believe that Merica would crush every year if we were allowed to be in it. I mean I'm not trying to be an asshole, maybe it's because i'm not really a fan of pop music, but IDG the big deal about EV. --- "Conceit, arrogance and egotism are the essentials of patriotism"- Emma Goldman "Wimmy Wham Wham Wozzle!" -Slurms MacKenzie ... I'm just very salty about 2014. Conchita Wurst won because of the beard. A statement. Her song was good, but there were much better songs including (unbiased) my own country The Netherlands. Calm After The Storm made it to a lot of charts all over Europe, for a relatively long time after the Eurovision. The singers had a phenomenal chemistry, the stage/lights/camera shots were perfect picks and the majority loved it. However the empathy for Wurst and the statement she made made the public and jury vote for her. It got second, we haven't been this close to a victory in modern Eurovision ever. I'm not saying Wurst didn't deserve it, but her win was not so much for her vocals or song.

How the fuck did Portugal were the entries really that lackluster? The Portoguese song and the artist really touched people across Europe. He is a phenomenon with his old school song and special body language. Being a phenomenon is why many win Eurovision. And the Bulgarian song got several elements which set it apart from ordinary western pop. Keep in mind though that the Bulgarian song was written by Swedes and Swedes write a lot of pop for US artists. I think the US would be too plastic to do well at Eurovision tbh. And Eurovision is a very European thing with lots of crazy antics :P --- "BalanceLost has a steam-powered PS2 because Sweden don't have electric" - dimeanatrix ... Copied to Clipboard!
