preparing for what seems to be the final story mission in inquisition. i really like all the moments you have with your party members and advisors. i love cassandra's little secret. i really wish the game had more of this.

i'm also glad that i got back into let it die. the core gameplay loop is fun, and unlocking more weapons and movesets and facing more enemy types is keeping things interesting. getting past the 10th floor and seeing a totally different environment has been invigorating, too. killing shit is also just so satisfying! the bosses are still kinda awful, but man their designs and stories and all the cutscenes are just so fucking weird and good. i think i will beat this game, even if it takes me all year.

juggling an hour of that, paladins, and overwatch every day has slowed down my single player game progress immensely, but fuck it, i'm enjoying all the games i'm playing, and that's what it's important goddamnit.

june is still looking like a relatively dry month for me anyway so i have time to get to nier and horizon and a dozen of other great 2017 games.

i enjoyed my time with that game on ps3, but i also had my fair share of frustrations with it that i don't think i'll bother with the re-release on ps4.

also, after 80 hours spanning almost 4 months of play, i beat dragon age inquisition. man, what a nothing ending. at least people say the dlc is good and that trespasser actually gives some closure!

Jaws of Hakkon was pretty good. The second DLC was fine, but less good. Never played the third.

Capcom moved on to another engine (RE Engine) for their internal HD titles. Panta Rhei was a huge headache. Who knows what Deep Down is at this point.

First Nioh DLC beaten. They added some really cool things to that game. They added the Odachi weapon type and it's got a lot of really interesting transitions. They also added some female transformations, PVP and added a handful of extra side missions prior to the DLC launching that I haven't done yet, other than a couple. They amount to combining two bosses at once and they are HARD. They also added Way of the Demon, like an ultra-hard mode that I haven't touched yet.

Also some new Guardian Spirits that are super rad, some cool boss fights, increased the level cap for enhancing guardian spirits, now allow you to use two guardian spirits and some of the enemies in the DLC are really, really cool.

Looking forward to even more of this game. So far I've beaten that and a handful of other games this year, but Nioh is my GOTY.

Re: Inquisition

I am one of those people who is a die hard lover of Inquisition even with it's flaws (neverending hinterlands and whatnot). I think if you even remotely enjoyed the game, the post-game DLC will be really fun for you. I thought it added quite a bit of flavor to the story.

they're comprehensive guides with excellent presentation and content. Future Press go above and beyond when they get to work on certain games, with great bonus content like art or interviews, and the ones done for Souls-like games are also worked on by notable names in the community. ENB worked on the Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne guides and pushed very hard to get lore into the guide in a clear, readable way. rbFrosty, a Nioh streamer, is helping with the Nioh guide.they're just great artifacts and reference guides. here's a couple quick pics I snapped from the Dark Souls 2 collector's guide:

I'm not actually waiting for the guide to come out before I start the game, it's just a cheeky excuse I use while I'm working away at P5 and Trails the 3rd. once I finish those two I'll pick up either this or Nier.
