Okay so like here's a post about something completely innocuous - picky eaters.

People don't like certain foods. And that's cool. More power to them. I don't like tomatoes.

So the first response, "who the hell cares," while being a bit blunt, is legit. It's a post about picky eaters. You wanna make fun of picky eaters who don't like certain food? It's kindof a dick move, but at the end of the day, if you wanna rip me for not liking tomatoes, that's fine. I'm a big boy, I'll survive. But at the end of the day, it's a dumb post and is easily worth skimming over.

Then of course, the tumblr hero comes in and says NO IT'S CLEARLY A POST ABOUT ANXIETY AND ALLERGIES AND EATING DISORDERS!1!!!!!11 - even though no such thing was even remotely mentioned in the OP.

Jesus fucking christ. Why does everything have to be about a prominent issue? I mean, unless literally every single picky eater suffers from crippling anxiety (which I don't, so, myth busted, I guess).

Fuck me, man

It's not but a ton of people who are picky eaters also suffer from anxiety or allergies or health issues. It's a legit point to make, I don't think it invalidates the original point though.

God I hate stonewalling eaters. I get so pissed off trying to organize a dinner/restaurant thing and having to deal with someone who shits on every restaurant suggested.

I'm not a picky eater, but for the things I am picky about I have vowed I will never let myself be the stonewaller. I can find something to eat at any restaurant I go to, and if I can't I just say fuck it and get a drink. I can eat later.

The word 'autism' has gotten misused so much lately, which saddens me because it makes people to not take the disorder seriously.

It's like people shifted from using the word 'retarded' to 'autistic'.

i think the problem is that there is like a subset of the internet that is soooo wanting to act like they are different they assign any neuro-atypical behavior to being autistic. you'll see a lot of them self-diagnosing mental illnesses or autism just based on random "symptoms" they've read about on the internet that they apply to themselves

This. I got the ADD. I've been called retard and autistic whole life, people are assholes and I'm ok with that.

But I'm not autistic, there is an overlap of some symptoms but they are distinct disorders. Turn based play for example is something an autistic individual has great difficulty with. I may get bored or distracted with this sort of social construct, but I understand it.

These sjw assholes that want to give me a hug and a ribbon are the fucking worst.

My co-worker told me story from a previous bartending job she had. One customer would come in and hand their server a laminated card with all their allergies and ask what she could eat. I'm very sympathetic to people plagued by allergies, especially common things that can cause them death. But, in my opinion, if your allergies are that numerous, you should be cooking for yourself.

Is it just me or is TC's reaction disproportionate to the nature of the post? I mean, I wasn't even 100% on whether the third person in the pic was trying to crack a joke or not, I expected a pages-long rant before I clicked the link. :/
