Microsoft used to be okay back in the day... Windows 7 and the Xbox 360 were awesome.

Now the company and its XOne/Windows 10 NSA spyware can fuck off and die a horrible painful death.

I think Microsoft is definitely floundering. The xbone and the new Scorpio are definitely more powerful consoles, but the interface and and ones are certainly not as user friendly as the 360- even though the 360 was a weaker and older machine.

It just feels like this generation the xbone and Microsoft did exactly what pissed so many people off that Sony did w the original initial release of PS3. And Sony took a page from Microsoft w their 360 release for the PS4.

The xbone struggles w unessesary complexity to show "look what we can do now" when not everyone wants those extras. 360 by comparison allowed for a component based approach to chose to have or not various aspects of it.

In my ideal world, the only Microsoft console that exists is the 360 and the only OS is XP.

Isn't the x1 interface the same tablet/mobile-friendly "sea of squares" that Microsoft has basically been forcing into every product in desperate hopes of creating a cross-platform universal paradigm?

Because that design is 17 miles of ass. When I was using a Win 8 machine, I disabled that shit the instant I knew how (which was quickly, because I deliberately looked up how to do it because of how ass it was).

Everything I've ever seen of the Xbox One's interface from seeing people use it in Let's Plays and the like (which admittedly is mostly just quick shots and glimpses) looks like hot garbage.
