i havent shopped at a kohls in like 5 years. My mom does, but I really cant think of a reason she would have my credit card.

I went to dispute the charge and they want me to lock my card. I really dont think this is fraud, as its one weird charge from two weeks ago, so boo. i guess ill call them instead, so i dont have to do that.

No, i mean it IS fraud, but it isnt a recurring thing thats happened multiple times.

it could have been something with my mom as she shops there but i have no clue why shed have my credit card. Either way I just want my money back, but I dont want to lose acess to my card for 2-5 days because i dont think this is a serious problem

You don't get both options. And if you have a good credit card company they'll overnight it for you.

Also, if it's fraud and they've done it once, they'll do it again. You're better off just replacing it.

That being said, why don't you just ask your mom?

Honestly, my reaction in a situation like this would be to call anyone who has a valid reason to have access to my credit card, and then, if none of them used it, to immediately assume fraud and contact the credit card company.

One charge for now, but if you don't lock it, it's entirely possible someone using your card fraudulently might use it again later, and you might wind up on the hook for much higher charges next time.

No clue which credit card company you have a card with, but in theory, you SHOULD be able to maintain your account but have them change the card number, thus invalidating the old ID (and rendering anyone who might have stolen your card info unable to use it) while allowing you to keep the same account and not having to deal with the hassle of getting an entirely new card and account or something.

I'd definitely deal with the issue rather than just blowing it off, though. It doesn't really matter if you only had "one weird charge", because it still implies there's a problem, and you should probably fix it before it potentially gets worse.
