I can't say I know you intimately but...

From what I've seen, you're a decent person. You're very, very down on yourself though (albeit not unjustly) and you seem like someone who has problems they need to work through. But at the same time, you're not really a "downer" either - you don't bring a lot of attention to yourself or your problems, at least not in excess (hey, everyone needs to vent sometimes).

Overall you seem like the kinda person I'd like to get to know more and befriend, perhaps. (You're a bit old for me to consider anything more though, no offense. :P)

These topics let me know if I'm right to hate myself, or encourage me that I'm not so bad. It's cathartic either way.

Well, yeah, I care about other people more than I do myself. If you're talking about posters here, it's because I don't have anyone else, and I don't want to become hated like I am everywhere else in life.

I am looking for a place to rent though, to get away from my family. It's taking longer than I thought though, plus things are always more complicated with my family than I let on. There's a line I have to walk carefully or things will just blow up.

Anyway, I'm going to sleep. Sorry for being a bother.

I like you, you come off as a genuine person even if a lot of your posts are bashing yourself. At the same time tho, you're a lot like me cus I do that too just not on here

Try not to be so hard on yourself, it's easier said than done but negativity feeds off negativity. Try to find one small thing you can do that makes you happy and continue to build off of that :)

I did have another account before this one, but it's been gone for like 12 years. I've always posted here with this username, been around for 3+ years. Probably closer to 4.
Anyway, it was topics about worthless I felt, about problems with my family, about how lonely I am, my stupid therapist, and ones like this one asking how you guys saw me.

I still think you need professional counseling. I think in an ideal situation you would leave behind your current environment and start a new trajectory somewhere else, but I recognize the realistic economic and social limitations surrounding that option. I can empathize with the lack of hope and opportunity due to your life circumstances.

It's okay. That's another thing, man: you don't have to say sorry for everything. I'm guilty of this a lot. I've learned in the past few weeks from another social worker to work on instead say "thank you" instead of sorry when appropriate. For example, instead of, "I'm sorry for being late," try, "Thank you for being patient." Takes this unnecessary guilt off yourself and gives a mini-boost to the person you're talking to.

I do ask people about themselves, pretty often actually, and post things I think are supportive for them. I try my best to be friendly and caring for everyone I interact with on here. It's not like I only post about myself, yeah, when I make a topic it's probably going to be about my life or something in it, but it's not all I ever post about.

I can't say for sure what these users are actually feeling but I doubt they actually hate you. No one is walking away from their monitor or whatever going, 'Gee, that Koga guy really ruins my day/life.' Expressing criticism for you (which you often ask for) does not necessarily mean they hate you.

As for me, I think you're a nice, gentle person but just a little too sensitive and insecure. I know a lot of that stems from the hardships in your life so I hope you can overcome them one day.
