Is piss myself if there was a Skies of Arcadia remake, and I'm not even a huge RPG guy. That was still an excellent game.

I'd love to play a Phantasy Star game too. I never played one myself but I've heard nothing but good things about it. With online being a major part of gaming now they could properly use the mechanics.

Yeah, I don't see it, Sega just does not have the talent or money necessary to make games for these guys and to be honest, not all of them were big sellers or left a super large demand to where Sega could see a profit for them, they are forever relics of the 90s, the only reason Sonic is still alive is because he's the only one who enjoyed some measure of near Mario level fame and his extremely loyal, crazy and hypocritical fanbase coming from various media like the archic comics, the dreamcast era, the classic era, the cartoon ara, where he had 2 siblings, where he had a naked chipmunk as a girlfriend and where he was basically blue bugs bunny. Sonic was more or less a hppy accident. the most Sega has on him now is japan only shit like Poyo Poyo, Hitsuni Miku, Yakuza and Se-ga Hard Girls. They are the Bollywood to Nintendo's Hollywood.

Yeah, it's not gonna work, they try to make a new game on an old IP and it'll be completely destroyed by the critics for either being too much like the originals, being too little like the originals or being completely different from the originals. On top of that, they do not have the original talent that worked on those games anymore, they've either retired from the industry, died, become another company's bitch or went into the tier own ventures that turned out to be massive failures like Yuji Naka's company, Rodia the sky warrior was pure ass and we haven't heard anything from them since then.

A Streets of Rage title made in a similar vein to the Yakuza franchise could work pretty well. Not sure how hard they should go on the story, though. I think it could be awesome.

That's probably what the new character in Forces is gonna be, I'd like to believe sega isn't stupid enough to make a brand new useless character with a horrible gimmick when the fanbase and anti fanbase alike absolutely loath anybody whose not Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Metal Sonic or Eggman, especially if it's a 3D Sonic forcing a new playable on them. Tails and Knuckles are only allowed in 2D games like Mania and even then, they were so scared of pissing people off with Sonic 4 episode 2 having Tails playable they completely busted him down to a help button.

Nope, Colors and Generations were bad,too. Classic Sonic's playstyle was an insult to how he was in the games he was from, you can't roll to gain speed, you have to use the spin dash, tons of automated paths, then they even given him the homing attack because obviously he needed that, as for the voices, The only time they've sounded good is in the Sonic Boom cartoon where they don't have the shitty game voice director and writers and even then, Booms humor relies on meta shit like Knuckles being from Angel Island, watchers knowing about Chris-Chan, Sonic Passion, Sanic memes, the general dislike of Shadow the hedgehog's fanbase,political bullshit jokes about climate change and SJWs and Sticks being a the same character tons of other modern day cartoon characters are, random, dumb, crazy and a lunatic.

I think their best and obvious bet would be what they kind of did around the Wii era: pander to Nintendo fans. It's crazy how I can vividly remember the two companies being situated as rivals, now it seems like Nintendo fans are the biggest Sega fans.

Samba de Amigo apparently sold close to a million copies on the Wii, NiGHTS sold about half a mill, and Super Monkey Ball generally sells well too, so I think if they stick with games like those and the crossover that sold as well (also for Smash Bros esque exposure) they can get a decent profit with the Switch as they did with the Wii since they sell surprisingly well on their platforms.

That would be nice, but I'm hoping more from them if they make announcements like this. Wii felt like a weird Sega revival and those games actually sold well, and I'm sure they could see similar results with the Switch.

Mania isn't a fanmade game or anything. I'm not sure why people say that just because it's not made by Sega Team. Chris Whitehead has worked with Sega before on official releases. He's not just "some fanatic."

And technically Sonic Advance 1-3 were also games that "pandered to the old days" and were some of the best GBA games there were.
