Poll of the Day > I'm gonna make some crockpot mac and cheese for dinner

I'm not even going to put the recipe into myfitnesspal to check the macros or anything because it's got 4 cups of cheese, 4 oz cream cheese, some parmesan cheese, whole milk and evaporated milk.

This is gonna be like my last cheat meal til San Diego. Womp womp

I don't think that's true. I have yet to find a recipe that I really enjoy but once in a while I like to try a new one.

I like this one because it has a bunch of different types of cheese with different tangy levels so it may be tasty and the evaporated milk should help it stay creamy.

But a lot of times it's bland, flavorless because you can barely taste the cheese, or it's not creamy at all.. And the risk in a crockpot is that the noodles get gummy.

The thing I hate is with staple foods I simply do not like, there's always that person who says "you haven't tried mine" with an inflated sense of confidence. I try to avoid shitting on their ego by refusing to try it, because there are things I unilaterally do not enjoy and I will be honest and see that "oh, well" look of self-doubt on their faces, as if everyone up to that point must've been lying to spare their feelings. Meatloaf is another barf-inducer for me... At best, I won't spit it out.

It's funny how that specific situation causes a unique face, kind of like "present face" when you get a gift you aren't thrilled about having its own.

i've had that happen with two or three things i've made that i find to be really good, but it's okay. i can admit that some of them are a little bit weird and not everyone is going to like it

that being said, everyone has loved my tater tot casserole.

It's a good place for bacteria to breed if their dishwasher didn't get all of the little food particles out of that tiny gap.
