I try to avoid shitting on their ego by refusing to try it, because there are things I unilaterally do not enjoy and I will be honest and see that "oh, well" look of self-doubt on their faces, as if everyone up to that point must've been lying to spare their feelings. Meatloaf is another barf-inducer for me... At best, I won't spit it out.
