I love dragon ball to death, I literally spend most of my sad days watching clips from Z and Super.

What sucks is how Piccolo was written by the writers. His backstory was changed I remember, and he had some kind of link to the Saiyan's big monkey form. He would've been a fine proper Piccolo I feel. For a DB film it's down-right terrible, but it is a DB hollywood live-action film and that alone makes it at least worth a watch... I wanted it to stay like it was in the beginning where he went to hs and people called him Geeku. Teen movie dbz would've been a different take on it at least.
