Generally speaking, it's a car someone liked when they were younger and couldn't afford it, so the appeal way later on down the road is mostly nostalgia.

The same cars you think today that have much nicer interiors, the youth of tomorrow are going to laugh at you for having such old taste.

Some of these cars have charm to some people. For example some older British and Italian cars had thin wooden steering wheels that are pleasing to drive with. You won't get anything like that now because of all the safety regulations. The old straight six engines from jaguar had an amazing sound to them that you won't get now.

Some people enjoy the analogue feel of older vehicles. Sure new cars are better in pretty much every objectifiable measure but the old ones have charm.

Kinda like old people.
