hello all, in celebration for the appreciation what are some of your favorite teachers you had over the years?

I'd like to start off by giving a special shout out to my favorite substitute teacher.
So it was in high school and we have these tri-weekly English quizzes no one looks forward to, this one kid said he was gonna cheat on the quiz and the teacher said cheaters never win, the kids kept saying yeah they do, then he said "Cheaters may win short term, but not long term. I mean, look at me, I cheated in high school and now I'm a substitute teacher!"

I had a fairly attractive algebra teacher in high school, who dreassed as a cheerleader on Halloween.

She got arrested for DUI a couple of years after I graduated.

My grade 9 English teacher was one of the funniest guys I've ever met. He was super enthusiastic about everyone's work too, he really wanted everyone to do their best. After that year he retired and moved back to Israel though.

I had this cool 9th grade English teacher, too
he threw everyone off guard because he was such a student-like guy who didn't pull punches
he'd show us these funny videos, he'd often swear, and if you sucked at something he straight told you "you suck ass"
There was this one time where we got to make paper airplanes and threw them at people
I missed his class the next year :P

My favorite was easily my ninth-grade biology teacher.

11th grade chemistry teacher. She was easily the best teacher i ever had and that class inspired me to pursue a career in chemistry.

Majority of my professors in college were also great, particularly my biochemistry professor.

I had sort of a love-hate with one teacher I had for three years in a row in high school. She had days where she was a total jerk, but 90% of the time I really liked her. There was also another one I fondly remember that wore stripper heels and had gigantic boobs, which she would smash into me whenever I needed assistance, and there was always a quiet favouritism I felt from her. Conversely, she treated the shitty kids like shit, so it was a delight all around.

I pretty much loved all my teachers, I recently ran into one of my favorites, my 5th grade teacher, last year at a school/college event two years ago, though I loved the class and school as one so I don't think it'd count :P

I especially loved my middle school art teacher, he pointed out to me why all my drawings suck ass and inspired me to get better. During the 8th grade we put together this little Art club we'd go to instead of homeroom every morning, and for the first time I became more social with him and the people in there.
Here's a funny story: As I was shopping for fancy clothes for a school dance I, by pure chance, ran into him in a clothes store and he helped me pick out this hat that I'd absolutely love for the dance. I genuinely loved him more as a person than a teacher, for the first time in my life (at that time in middle school) I really felt like that I needed to improve in something and he helped me get there. I don't draw much, sometimes I do signs or posters for local stuff, often when I do draw I still remember the things he taught me :P

My runner up favorite would be this Marketing girl I love to talk to recently, and let me tell you I came in there expecting to HATE that class cause I wanted to be a tech guy, not a business man and my tech class was replaced with this class.
Boy, she left the greatest first impression I ever seen. She's very old and wise, she talked about her past experience with businesses and marketing and her college experience. I started getting into the marketing business thing and it was so interesting, like "Why wasn't I taught this high school?" interesting. I grew to talking to her about other non marketing stuff, like the election, or space, or fundraising, or what school stuff we should add to the building
She's possibly my favorite teacher I've met since my art teacher :/

I just googled it, and Google said it was this week. Maybe my school just had it last week. It would make more sense for it to be this week since teacher appreciation day was on tuesday
