It's the curse of place names based on Indian/Native American words. No one can ever pronounce them.

New Jersey's got some choice place names as well in that respect (I always deliberately mispronounce Manalapan and Absecon for my own amusement).

why does everybody drive like they're speeding away from some imminent disaster on every NY highway/freeway? Inb4 that's every highway, I swear it's like all New Yorkers are designed to give little to no breathing room on the road, and this is coming from someone in Boston. Even the truck drivers give no fucks and it's extremely dangerous

I made that question because I kid you not I was doing 87MPH (yea, bad Junpei) on 87 and sure enough not 1, not 2, but 4 cars zoomed right by me and I slowed down because it scared the shit outta me

I've been here all my life and enjoy how close it is to so many great places. The city itself is garbage but not as bad as Kingston or Newburgh. My wife hates it. She will probably have us move within the next ten years.

I actually haven't ever seen this full movie myself. but i remember when the trailer first came out. and then I was never able to find a way to watch it. I think it had a very limited release and I've never seen it online anywhere

It was available on YT awhile ago. It was a low budget fake documentary horror. Not great but not unwatchable either.

IRL, Poughkeepsie had a serial killer named Kendall Francois. He killed prostitutes and hid the bodies around his house. What's really f'd up is that the rest of his family lived in the house too and apparently didn't notice.
