Murray changed the bill, lowering the levy to 1.75 cents per ounce and included diet drinks because they are by favored by affluent white city residents, despite the fact that most diet drinks have no calories and therefore don’t contribute to obesity.

Actually diet drinks do contribute to issues of obesity, just indirectly. It's not uncommon for a weight-concerned consumer to presume that drinking a diet soda will notably improve their dietary health. The problem presents itself when the person still "cheats" with junk food and reasons that it's okay "just this once " because they "had a diet soda for lunch ".

This site normally has misinformation. For example there was a study complaining about the use of Natural when it come to breast feeding . The issue with the study was people automatically equating natural with better. That website said it had to do with Transgender people in the study wasn't about that.

The artificial sweetener makes you hungry

The "artificial sweetener" is an essential amino acid.

It also doesn't make you hungry.

If you're fat, you're just naturally more hungry.
