I think they're missing the point with all those quick cuts... also feeling rather ambivalent about the seemingly mainstreamness of asmr and how other people interpret it compared to my own.

But my favorite combination has always been asmr + humor, especially parody or dark humor videos. They're still tingly and fresh, following the cardinal rule of humor (which unsurprisingly is the same rule as being tingle inducing to those who have developed immunity) to be surprising and new.

I agree about the quick cuts. And I don't mind ASMR getting more mainstream. It means more content in my opinion :3

Yeah that's the positive side of it, and in the last 2 years alone there has been a tone of new content and new asmrtists that I've really enjoyed.
