Sometimes onion

I've probably tried dozens of sandwich combos over the years, and that's still the tastiest. Well, either that or a well constructed Spicy Italian.

Chicken bacon with monterey cheddar, ranch and bbq sauce
Steak with pepperoni, marinara, mozzarella, and onion
Italian Hero (or BMT if unavailable) with pepperjack, light ranch, heavy vinaigrette, and heavy oregano

Makes sense. I'm normally a Jersey Mike's guy when it comes to subs but on the rare subway trip I don't see it

That or I'm just so used to getting my order of Turkey/Provolone/Lettuce/Tomatoes/Salt + Pepper/Honey Mustard and occasionally something fun like Jalapeños or Olives.

Actually, the rule of thumb for almost everything is "3 per six inch" except most meats, which are four:
3 Jalapenos
3 Olives
3 Pepperoni
3 Salami
3 Tomatoes (or less if we get monster-size tomatoes)
3 Cukes
3 Onion slivers (yep, really, but NOBODY is going to do that)

The other veggies have specific weight-based measurements you're supposed to go by but lol fuck that

Yeah I am late to the party but I need to know why rule of 3 includes things of wildly different sizes like olives and tomato slices? As the consumer I don't care if you are anal about your food costs, just sprinkle a decent amount of olives on and be done with it.

Chances are, if an employee anywhere is babying you, it's because of idiotic customers who treat service people like slaves and then complain when those employees did exactly what they said, with the managers favored the customers over the employees. It's practically a universal store policy to do whatever it takes to avoid upsetting even the most entitled, whiny, demanding customers.

I haven't worked in any kind of customer service industry for about 10 years now, but unless the very nature of humanity has changed in the meantime I can pretty much confirm this. although I will say not all customers are this bad. but the number of people who basically don't even see you as a person is high enough that you generally just have to safely assume every customer has no idea what they actually want and just needs to be treated like an adult baby.

I could've sworn it was 2 tomatoes back when I worked there in high school, but maybe I'm misremembering.

I usually go for italian style sandwiches, with nothing but jalapenos and mayyyybe banana peppers (though I prefer green peppers usually) and spinach.


Spinach > lettuce, always.
