Played FFVIII and Xenogears about the same amount of times, and really can't say that FFVIII had more memorable tracks. Theatrhythm is a good indication of like how much shitty songs are in this entire damn series and how just goddamn fucking overrated Uematsu is as a composer, and he's honestly just a mid-low tier composer who can hit just moderate highs. It's literally kindergarten taste to say FF has a good soundtrack. I guess ZX is kinda pushing it since you have to listen to the ZX Tunes version that wasn't actually used in game but it's seriously killer.
