I still don't think it's the best in the franchise though. It's worse than Brotherhood and Black Flag by a bit.

Getting things like feathers and all 300 treasures are absolutely miserable. The best bit is the assassination contracts. Although they got way better in future games due to having more options to assassinate the target. And I also don't like that Ezio is somewhat of a massive Marty Stu. Unlike Altair.

Music and locations are cool though.

The treasure collection wouldn't be as bad if the rewards were worth it, you usually just get a crappy looking outfit

How is it worse than Brotherhood? Brotherhood only had one city.

I don't get the love for Black Flag either; the sailing was tedious, the characters were boring, and the modern day story was basically non-existent.

ACII, Brotherhood, and ACIII were the only ones I bothered to collect everything in. I realized how much of a waste of time it was by then.

AC3 was so bad though.

It was so boring I finally quit playing it and didn't go back. Even my roommate was like "it didn't pick up that much" when I let him take it for a break.

I've only played two AC games - the original (only got to the second set of assassination contracts) and 4... I was having fun in 4 but I hate that there's so much to do and I can't just focus on the main mission because of how I approach games... I'm getting kind of burned out >_>. I want to enjoy it and finish it though just to put it behind me.

People only like Black Flag because it's a pirate simulator, but everything else about the game sucks. All the characters suck, the story sucks, the gameplay is alright.
