Shine thief is awesome the timer saves each time you hold it gets intense when everyone is at the last 5 seconds then you have 11 people chasing 1 person

Yes. I know. But from the topic title alone, you'd think just Mario Kart 8 until you saw a comment on the graphics. Also, the Wii U was capable of 1080, so that's not a completely clear indicator that they're playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe either.

Come on, you guys like to use the term "JRPG" apparently to specify console-based RPGs, but can't be bothered to use subtitles for clarification?

MK8 ran at 720p on the WiiU. At any rate, no one needs precise specificity, here. Yourself included. This just sounds like a random childish thing to complain about. Everyone here understands the context clues.

As mentioned, everyone seems to stupidly need so many terms to specify something (again referring to the term "JRPG") and you can't do it here when it could actually be warranted? Again, from the topic title, I thought he was talking about just Mario Kart 8. Is it really that much trouble to add "Deluxe" at the end? Or use an abbreviation? You guys are making a bigger deal out of this than I am. Just use the full title, and that's the end of it. I feel like I'm arguing the use of "literally" here. It's a losing battle with an apathetic, lazy audience. ;_;

You're the lazy one. Just from the title alone it was obvious he meant deluxe. Stop getting mad at others because you were too lazy to use context clues lol

I bought it before the DLC came out and I even pre-ordered the DLC but I haven't played it yet >_>.

I'm not going to derail the topic much further but I don't think I've seen anyone refer to "console" RPGs as "J"RPGs strictly/lumping them together. It's understandable to get confused sometimes if people don't use subtitles. If people just say "I'm playing Sonic" I'll have no idea what they're playing.

As for the topic itself, you're just the odd one out being a bit vocal and that's fine. The topic title and opening post gave enough context clues.


Back to MK8D.

In theory, I'd love to play it "on the go" but I rarely bring my Switch out unless I know I'm taking transit for long periods of times. Not quite worth full price but the price will never drop anyways...I'll just buck up later if there are some deals.

I loved MK8 but I doubt I'd buy it again if I had a Switch. It's a fun game, but it's no Skyrim.

'Cause I'm practically the only person that does, and thinks the "JRPG" term is moronic. ¬_¬ I was going to get an example from this very site, the place where I first heard the term, but it seems SBallen changed it. ;_;

Ditto. This is why I like the use of the subtitle. (Which is what people used to do...) "I'm playing New Leaf" or "I'm playing Wild World" as opposed to "I'm playing Animal Crossing."

Also, I have nothing to contribute to the discussion of this Final Mix/International version of Mario Kart 8 because I'm too fucking poor to get a Switch. ;_; I didn't even hear about the Double Dash-esqe item system until the topics on this board, and that kinda surprises me. It's nice they brought that back, assuming they did so completely.

But now that we've got Splatoon characters on top of already having Villager, Isabelle, and Link, we might as well throw in Fox, Pikachu, Samus, Captain Falcon, Ness, etc. and fully commit to the Smash Bros.-esqe direction this game is taking.

I mean... I think that would actually be kind of awesome, actually.

I'm okay With "J" RPG and "W" RPG. Western and Eastern (Japan mostly) developers have very distinct styles a lot of the times.

I don't really care about cameo characters. I wouldn't pay for more of them at this point.
