I've probably only been to that site less than a dozen times. Every time it was because someone would send me a link.



Not sure why I have no interest in it. There's a sub reddit for basically everything. Am I weird?

I like it a lot. Most of the top subs suck but it's a pretty good place to see alternate opinions and speciality subs tend to be friendly and welcoming to helping new people. It took me a while to get used to it but I definitely use it more the gamefaqs now.

I can count the number of times I have been there on one hand. That interface is straight garbage. Navigating websites should be an easy experience. I don't want to spend an hour trying to figure out what the fuck to do to dind a certain post or topic.

yeah, i don't think discussion goes well in the more popular subs.

but otherwise, it's a great place to find educating/entertaining stuff

It can be pretty entertaining to spend time in some of the subreddits dedicated to videos of ridiculous people doing funny/ridiculous things and sometimes the stories that people post are pretty interesting,

But I don't really interact with people or participate myself.

In the more popular subs it's like reading/leaving YouTube comments instead of a discussion, and people say the smaller ones are good but I don't really like clique-y communities and a lot of them kind of seem like that.

Anyway, I never access the site, period, these days, I hardly even click on links when they do pop up because I find the layout to be so atrocious and primitive, but I'm not one to never say never, but for now I have zero interest in it.

The only times I read something on that site willingly was when they would do AMA from popular figures, like for example when Bill Murray did one, which is actually similar to the type of thing super old websites like I think Lycos did back then when they would have a celebrity hosting a chat, and literally random people could ask them questions. So, I guess it's beneficial as a forum and outlet for those type of public AMA.

Other than that I guess it's also a useful forum for some pictures and gifs that are not posted elsewhere by category.

I actually hear that a lot. It's not complicated, I think people just never took the time to get used to it.

If you have to take the time to get used to it, that can be a sign of poor design. And a message board that is hard to follow or rough on the eyes just isn't worth it, to me at least.

Of course not. Obviously asking this on Gamefaqs is gonna have people who prefer Gamefaqs. If they liked reddit they would probably be there right if not for it being down.

I'm pretty much hooked on reddit. Only been using it for about a year. I started using it to post my pixel art stuff, then I started using gamedev, then GameMaker.

I now go on to check out stuff on my favourite YT channel, fitness, etc.

I'll take a quick glance if an interesting link is posted (iirc, there was something akin to a creepypasta reddit, and a couple humor ones), but I've never actually looked into the site on my own.

I probably visit Narutoforums more, and I very rarely ever go there nowadays.

I don't like it much. It has a horrible layout/ interface and most of the subs are just fan circlejerks where you get modded for disagreeing.

Hated it originally but once I got how the layout worked it's been really great.

It's nice to switch to it since the general tone is quite positive, whereas GameFAQs seems to be fairly negative.

I enjoy it. Regardless of what your into, there's a sub with a community to oblige. Just unsub from all the shit you're dumped with when you join.
