I suppose it can be done if you get the socks right, i.e. make them an accessory to the outfit. Typically that look is without socks though.

Depends on how much break. A little half break is fine, so long as the paint leg is tapered. If they're wide leg and they break then you're gonna be rocking that early 2000s look.

Try rolling them up for now to see how they sit and then decide if you should get them hemmed.
