Oh yeah? So it makes you upset to hear about it? Well guess what, I was EXTREMELY upset about what you said. It fucked me up for a few hours straight because reminding a depressed person of their suicidal tendencies is something you never do, EVER, EVER TO ANYONE. It isn't ACTUALLY a big deal to him, it's just another opportunity he grabbed to pretend he wasn't the biggest asshole in an argument. People have used it in the past and he did not care, this one was just another move of his to try and build up his character. As you can see, Machete unfortunately fell for it pretty hard.

He's now going to insult MY character in an attempt to deny this, but that's just how it is, and I don't really care what he has to say in that regard. He's predictable and tired.

there's another commonly used meme picture, which i'm positive has been posted here multiple times before (as in, in this topic series) where there's a guy that's literally shitting everywhere anytime people try to have a discussion and people just... move on elsewhere and ignore the guy.

that's the meme picture i think that mostly represents the sentiments of the people that are tired of Ulti in these topics.

based on my lengthy exposure of one entire weekend in these topics I wouldn't say I feel this way at all. ignore him? they treat the guy like fucking voldemort, honestly. oh my god don't say his name don't respond to him why are we responding to him!!!! over and over and over again desperately pleading for no one to acknowledge the ulti because allowing him to speak is dangerous I guess. it's honestly really sad from an outsider perspective.

Maria, we tried for years to give this guy a pass, and he just kept getting worse and worse. It's not even just here, the guy has done some shitty real world stuff as well, which is impossible to bring up because he always gets mods he knows to delete it ASAP. This isn't a case of some guy we just disagree with, this is over a decade of just being a truly awful person, and just having to give up. it's not like we can suddenly start taking Alex Jones seriously and saying he's a great guy. having been in these topics from the start, it's equally confusing to me.
this doesn't even rank in the top ulti moments in the topic series by the way. there was a split timeline moment where multiple topics were made and there was the Ulti topic and the other one. that met with reconciliation with the fact that if it's containment then it needs to contain him as well, otherwise it's not doing its job. this back and forth of hating Ulti, ignoring him, responding to him, and him playing his part to further it (the idea of new alts being made to get around those ignoring seems pretty legit) as they keep going through this love-to-hate sequence is... a thing.

personally, if i don't value what somebody regularly says then i just... don't usually respond. others will, let them have their conversation, reach the same conclusion, and keep doing it. sometimes something of value will go through, often it won't, that's fine.

<_< but i've seen a topic and a half get full because people were arguing with MWC to no end, so i've given up on that logic ever working. it's a topic series full of masochism, yes. it's even been stopped twice because of that, i think. then came back because if there's no containment topic it spreads on the rest of the board.

Yeah? You sure believed me when I said that I wasn't actually calling anyone 'the word'. What Wang said is pretty accurate - it was an image about someone coming in, shitting up a topic, and acting all coy about it. That's how I viewed it (the word didn't remotely factor into intent) but uh apparently I'm supposed to bow down to your moral high ground when you've done worse?

I mean, if an image that wasn't actually calling people 'the word' (from my perspective) upsets people that much, sure. I do think people misunderstand me but I'll adjust my perspective because some people obviously thought differently. I don't think you're going to do something similar at all.

This is completely ignoring the fact that most people have been called numerous horrendous things in this topic series (myself included) and this is the first time it's apparently warranted a mod crusade.

This topic has been twitter links for the last week because no big news has happened outside of healthcare being held hostage, which - while major - hasn't come to a head yet. This topic series is very active when stuff is actually happening.

The French election is fucked up but it also hasn't come to a head yet. There's not much left to discuss about that.

The statements made by Ulti were thus. I actually no longer believe them, but they're gross regardless, and stood out because I thought he was awesome up until this point.

Ulti used to fuck other women while his wife was home. Not an issue in and of itself of its something the couple is into, swinging is common. The issue was that when his wife ever had an issue with it or said she wanted to sleep with other men as well, be would lock her out of the house until he apologized.

I don't believe this at all. I think this was 200....6, 7? Ulti trying to be an "Alpha Male", and the environment back then on this board might have allowed for it. But....like, I was pretty naive then, but it was still very shocking. Here was the boards biggest cool guy admitting to being a disgusting person. It affected me.

It is an independent centrist and far right nationalist. This is actually probably the worst draw Le Pen could've had, I think. This was like everyone's second choice guy from what I've seen because he was basically inoffensive to just about everyone.

it is. even though it should be closer than polling data indicates, the gap is 60-40. the right is generally okay with the results i think, whereas the left has been busy rioting because they got nothing they wanted. the traditional parties have been completely broken for the first time and that's going to be a big deal for future elections.
