ragu with pasta doesn't mean spaghetti with meat sauce

pasta could mean anything

and spaghetti w/ bolognese or ragu isn't an actual italian dish - you toss spaghetti with oils cheese and herb in italy

oh i see you saw the entry for BOLOGNESE SAUCE not the spaghetti with meat sauce wikipedia page okay

Although we think of spaghetti with tomato sauce as the quintessential Italian dish, tomatoes didn’t become part of the Italian diet until the 1800s. And the first recipe for pasta with tomato sauce actually appeared in a French cookbook from 1797. So the tomato-based pasta sauces we tend to think of as typically Italian – bolognese, pomodoro, puttanesca – are actually more recent developments.

My great grandparents are from Italy and my grandma has literally never made spaghetti when I went over. And now that I think about it, I have no clue if she uses meat in her sauce for spaghetti.

It's usually mostaccioli and meatballs. No meat in the sauce with that since you're getting meatballs.

Wow way to try and reduce from Italian culture by implying that all pasta is the same and that different pasta types don't have different uses depending on the dish

lmfao

im not even pointing out how dumb you look by not knowing different pasta has different uses

they're NOTHING alike.

Many real italians (not all) look more... italian. You know, dark hair, dair eyes, olive complexion. A MAGA-type would scream "a mexican!!" at first.

They're very happy, warm people and they love to party. They may be a bit loud too. Their behavior is more akin to a Spainiard or upper class latin american than the typical behavior of "italians" in the states as well.

It depends if you are North or South actually. The southern Italians are more friendly and have better food. Northern Italy is more like other European countries. Central Italy is a cesspool of Vatican tourists and you should never go there.

Yeah, the north italians are much more Swiss-like, in my own personal experience. And they also don't like the South Italians very often.

I'd say Portugal, Spain, certain parts of France and the south of Italy are much more alike to each other than to the rest of Europe, while North France, North Italy, Austria/Switzerland/Germany and Belgium are closer to each other.
