So I figured fellow firearm enthusiasts on CE deserve a social. So let's have one. But I don't want it limited to gun owners--if you don't have a gun and are interested in the subject or want one and would like advice, feel free to post! If I can't answer it, I'm sure someone esle will.

But I reckon we talk about guns and accessories and stuff. Let's avoid policy discussion for the most part because I really don't want some huge debate. So the topic doesn't devolve into a shit show, let's just ignore and mark the ones who are obviously trolling or looking to argue on what should be legal and what shouldn't.

Let's talk about our experiences, what we are doing with our firearms, what we want next, EDC, kudos or leather, etc.

And I strongly encourage those who don't know too much about firearms to ask questions. I want us to spread knowledge, not mock those who don't have the same amount of knowledge.

My EDC is a G19 Gen 4 in a Galco IWB kydex holster. I'm hoping to add a new optic to my AR and my next firearm purchase is hopefully Mossberg's new 590 Shockwave-an NFA compliant "SBS."

Sadly I don't own any guns at the moment. :( But I do a lot of research and I have a couple friends who own a couple square miles of land and I go out shooting with them.

Oh ok. Well that's awesome that you do your research and get to get some range time in. What kind of AR are you interested in? Are you going to build one?

Hell yeah! I've always wanted a 21. That 13+1 is very appealing for a .45. You definitely made me a Glock fan. Hope you get it paid off soon. Is it for carrying?

I own a few guns but tbh I wouldn't call myself an enthusiast. I have a few rifles for play shooting (targets and stuff) and a shotgun at the house for unwanted people (but I live in a pretty decent neighborhood full of old semi wealthy white dudes so I've never had to worry much about home invasions)

My username is just my old Socom2 handle from back when I played in high school and was ranked in the top 100 worldwide for a spell. Isn't really because I love guns or anything.

Well the reason I first picked it out was the fact that I (probably)I got a new job in a bad part of town. It is a used LEO trade in for $350 bucks (doesn't look like more than maybe 500 rounds down it, very little holster wear if any), if some idiot steals it then it won't be the end of the world.

But honestly, being how big it is, I might make it my nightstand gun, put a flashlight on it and night sights and such. I really went into the gun store to buy a glock 23 for 330 bucks but I ended up avoiding .40 s&w again. The only time I might have claimed to had liked .40 on here was when my dumb ass had a few of them. .40 isn't useless it is kicks harder than it should imo for the actual amount of damage it does.

I guess enthusiast was the wrong word. I'm not really one myself though I do have love for them. I remember you talking about guns before so I figured I'd tag you.

If yoy can, make your way to a range that allows you to to try out some firearms. Start off slow and small and make your way up. Or do what I did and just go for and get a realistic option it and go from there.

Not really sure yet. It's still in the long term wants box, not really something I can do right now. :(

Hey, no rush. Give the political climate, I see no reason to. Hope you get situated soon though. Nothing like owning your own.

That's a steal. Can't really go wrong with police trade ins. I'd probably throw down on one if I saw that pricetag myself.

I'm not a fan of a .40. I definitely love a good .45 though. My S&W .45 used to be my nightstand choice but I hate the trigger. Since I've worked with my 19 more, that will do it for now but I wouldn't mind having a decked out 21 for the bedside peace of mind.

you have m&p 45 or a 4506/457? or something different (s&w has more pistols than I can remember or really care about(.

the store had a 4506-1 for 499 still looked good, I kinda wanted it for vic mackey excellence, but I'd probably had sprung for a p220 if I was gonna get a double/single action (or an eaa witness 45).

I'm dying to get my hands on a CZ p10c though. I'll be done with buying guns for a long time after a p10c comes into my reach. I'm not gonna pay 600 bucks for one just because they are rare right now though, they should end up selling for less than glocks when they are plentiful
