But she is about much more than that. She is anti EU, anti semitic, supremacist, etc. Her victory would mean the unraveling of the european union.... do we want that?

Plus she wouldn't be reasonable and actually go after the extremists either, or even ONLY after that religion. What if somebody happens to have that heritage but are atheist or whatever? They'd get kicked out too.

French liberals still won't be convinced that Islam is incompatible witht he modern world.

Le Pen would need both record low turnout and more votes than the National Front has ever gotten. Bloomberg has put together a pretty good page dedicated to the French election and yeah, I can't see it happening at all. Macron and her probably are able to go to the second round of voting and I imagine the rest of the field will endorse him.

Now if Melenchon can somehow slip in above either of them, which would be a total shock, it could mix things up. But it seems that the French in general aren't going to vote for her.

Don't fish for statements. Everyone knows that when you have a homogenous population, crime is lower. There are various whys, but they are irrelevant. The point is that America is much bigger and much more diverse than France, yet the amount of mass shooting deaths is comparable to the amount of terrorism deaths in France.

Not too mention a good number of those mass shootings are gang violence. The prerequisites to be labeled a "mass" shooting aren't that high
