Maybe? I obviously don't speak for him but it could be that he'd like to. However, wanting to do something doesn't always make it immediately profitable to do so.

Lefties behaving like children. Businesses are still competing in an environment where outsourcing is crucial otherwise they lose their profit margins. Pass the right policies which prevent businesses from considering outsourcing in the first place, and that is what Trump is going for. Its already having effect simply due to his agenda and motive. SBOs are more optimistic, consumer confidence is high, and H1B visa abuse is going down. Trump is lining the way to get policies passed.

As long as certain rights are guaranteed, I'd be happy with a monarchy. Somebody who sees the nation as their responsibility to look after rather than something to simply win then use to their advantage is a better fit. A king can say "fuck off, oil companies" until they agree to outrageous taxation on their part. That's how it works in other places, like Norway.

But of course, the EO he signed today only addressed the H-1B visa. Either way, as with most EOs, this only has jurisdiction over "Federal procurement or Federal grants" of products of services needed by the U.S. government. This cannot and will not legislate the hiring practices of private businesses around the country.

Free markets are good, but regulation is needed. Everything needs to be balanced or it tips over. Take a zinc tablet every day, you're maintaining your health. Take them constantly and you'll die from heavy metal poisoning.

Capitalism as a general political system is bad though. Western Europe seems to have the right idea about many things, this included. North America is some crude backwater with a bunch of hillbillies parroting the slogans corporations convince them too. Things were going down the toilet here shortly following WWII, but nobody cared because it was such amazing short-term gain (or they were ignorant to the future, and fair enough there).

Western Europe is Capitalist relative to Communism, there aren't any monarchies either. I'm saying they've got the sweet spot where they don't have a phobia of regulation.
