Akechi is the invisible hand in the cognitive world, the silent assassin, etc., and he ended up doing all of this because he liked the popularity that came with being a teen detective. There's a lot you can learn about people if you have access to their id (shadows). He then grew jealous of the Phantom Thieves' popularity and the sudden kick society gave him as a result. Now that the public is turning on the Thieves, he's doing some damage control to keep looking as even as possible while reveling in the popularity boost.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how it connects to the prologue. I mean, it's obvious now that they were in the cognitive world when they were escaping the police and security in the palace, and then MC gets unmasked. I'm guessing that he left the cognitive world as the rest of them did, but the police were on hand immediately outside.

Maybe, maybe not. As Shanks and I were talking about before, we both thought it was incredibly underwhelming. I wouldn't get his hopes up. I'm pretty sure most people could predict a lot of what happened there well before that scene.

Yeah, honestly it makes a lot more sense than the hammed up and often cheesy hanging out moments in Persona 4. The idea of the texting feature is cool, but the novelty wares off quickly. Felt the same about Tokyo Mirage Sessions, except I was able to tolerate it here more up until around the time Makoto joined and I got sick of it. Now I default to using the speed up feature or mashing X like a mad man.

I haven't quite finished the game but I like how close the group feel. They seem closer than the P3 group but not as close as the P4 group. Noir is the exception to this as she feels almost like a nonmember of the group.

Cleared it. Loved it. I love that it was much darker than 4. I do wish that it would have gone full blown SMT dark, but I'll take what it did. Love the main cast, but I wish Haru joined in earlier. Probably gonna get some disagreement on this, but I stand by that I think they felt like a tight group of friends. The ending cemented that for me. Love the new dungeon design and I also really liked the stealth elements. Also best Waifus in the series.
