For real though I always lol when weebs try to say their shonen anime are for more mature audiences by saying "It's filled with boobs and gore! NOT for kids." Lol, what do you think 11 year old Japanese boys are into? Gore and boobs ARE for pre-teens in Japan, and that age would love that stuff here if it was allowed.

Shonen manga don't even have that much gore and boobs. The jojo anime blocks out even the tiniest amount of gore with a black censor bar.

In America, uncut Naruto and Bleach are rated TV-PG-TV-14. Not a target audience of 11-12 year olds. These shows are for teens.

The shows were made for 11-12 years old though. They weren't made for American teenagers, the rating system in America decided it was appropriate for that age group instead. That doesn't change the target audience.

By this logic, GTA, Call of Duty, South Park, and Family Guy are children's media because their main appeal is targeted towards fans of juvenile and immature chaos which tend to be 12 year olds.

South Park is absolutely gears at young teenagers more than anyone. The audience is larger than just that, but it's unquestionably the focus.

12 year olds are a large part of the target demographic for GTA and CoD as well. Those in particular are aimed at 10-25 year olds.

In Japan. Japanese standards aren't universal. We are Americans. By American standards, they're not kid shows. Not hard to understand at all.

Doesn't matter. By our standards, they're clearly not kids' shows, so we shouldn't treat them as kids' shows.

That doesn't change the target audience.

It doesn't change the Japanese target audience. The Japanese target audience isn't the same as the American target audience. The target audience in America is teens. Newsflash: we're in America. Stop being a weeb.

Would you consider a hardcore porn to be for kids just because it was considered to be for kids in the country it was made? Learn to logic.
