As many suspected would happen, a shitload of people didn't even realize it was a new console. On top of that the "U" was just a letter. I was about to say something similar to that. "Advance" and "super" signify a successor. U is just a letter, it meant nothing, and the casual crowd couldn't differentiate the Wii and Wii U. Even worse is when your in a conversation and say "Wii You", the other person doesn't know what your talking about. That was all changed when they released the DS lite, the DSi, DSi XL, Wiimotion +, Wiimote +, 3DS, 3DS XL, ect. They had constant revisions and shit, and the advertisement campaign was terrible. To this day there are a great many people that think the Wii U is just an expensive fancy tablet controller for the Wii. --- My sister's dog bit a hole in my Super Mario Land cartridge.
