All I know is, anyone who compares it to MN9 is just butthurt about Jon and should be ignored entirely.

Only a few hours in, but no complaints so far (sans a couple quibbles with the camera). Fun game, assuming you're looking for a Banjo-style collectathon.

Sounds like fans got what they wanted but outside of dedicated fans of this kind of game it's just average. I wouldn't buy it unless you are a fan of old school 3D platformers.

The majority of those mixed/negative reviews are coming from people who didn't like 3D platformers to begin with. So many reviews have complaints that essentially boil down to "it didn't evolve the genre"/"collect-a-thons should have stayed dead in the 90s".
So if you actually like the genre, buy it. If you are expecting it to play like a generic Ubisoft title, then avoid it. Do be warned though, there are lots of issues with the camera, and there aren't that many worlds. --- All Hail http://i.imgur.com/uzIx6Jp.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

If you're into collect-a-thons and 3-D platforming, buy it. Just don't expect anything revolutionary.
