I can't stand the trend of people thinking that games need to have as large a map possible and be as long as possible. It's a stupid way of measuring the "worth" of a game. I'd take a short game with great replay value over a long, empty game full of pointless, tedious sidequests and achievements. Gaming in general is full of too many entitled idiots with horrible personalities. I also think part of it too is that most of the members of that band went on to do Foo Fighters which is also in the mainstream (well, as mainstream as rock can get these days). As for me, I find Nirvana to be easier to listen to than a lot of other bands that rode on its coattails. Most of the game is a linear corridor with absolutely no exploration. The writing is terrible. The voice acting is godawful. The combat is boring - an absolute slog. I've tried twice to beat it and just can't stay interested. And I like almost every other Final Fantasy game. Final Fantasy VII is not overrated. It deserves all the praise it gets. Zelda II is a fantastic game. It's fun, challenging, and never unfair. It's the direction Zelda should have gone. A Link to the Past secured a very boring, predictable path for the series, and ruined what could have been so much more. The story of Metal Gear series is completely up its own ass. It's a ton of fun, and is a very enjoyable series of stealth shooters, but MGS2 completely jumped the shark and it never came back. The 2D Metroid games are terrible. The combat is clunky and frustrating, and shooting random walls to get what you need is bullshit game design. The Sonic games have ALWAYS been terrible, from the very beginning. The only one that's fairly good is Sonic Adventure 2. The Matrix sequels are superior to the first one, and the sequels should be viewed as one long movie. The Godfather Part 1 is a masterpiece, but The Godfather Part 2 is far too long, and boring as shit. The Lord of the Rings is overrated and boring as hell. Every U.S. president after Theodore Roosevelt was terrible, and Ronald Reagan screwed our economy in ways that we'll probably never recover from. It looked pink and purple and cute.. so I ordered a small one. Guess what? Pretty good.. the sweet part taste like something from my childhood, couldn't quite put my finger on it. I didn't know at the time of ordering how big of a deal that drink was online at the moment, I got it mostly out of curiosity.
