It's just better to have those first moments in a swimming pool instead of speeding rapids or 5-foot waves. All you have to do is go to the pool for a day, watch people, try to emulate that, and tweak it until you find something that works. Anteaterking 04/13/17 1:58:36 PM #65:	I know how to swim, but my girlfriend doesn't because she grew up in an area with no swimming pools/swimming lakes/etc. My dad grew up in Minnesota and has never learned how to swim.
