There's tons of way to exercise outside for free. And healthy food is only more expensive than shitty food if you're too lazy to cook.

Common misconception - healthy food isn't 'more expensive' than unhealthy food. It can, in most cases, be less expensive to eat healthy.

I would say the reason people don't often eat healthy food is because it generally requires cooking (to stay cheap), and people are lazy.

Gyms are a luxury, it's 100% possible to work out at home, outside, etc and be active.

1500 calories of shitty food is going to help you lose weight, 4000 calories of healthy food is going to make you gain weight.

In the town I live, close to 80% of people over 30 are overweight. For every 2 well-built adults you see you'll also see 8 whales hobbling around. It's disgusting.

The studies that meta-study are based off of seem inherently flawed. It's discussing how diets rich in produce are more expensive than ones full of meat and stuff. Meats are WAY more expensive than vegetables when purchased as ingredients, that's not up for debate. I don't know what mathematical hoops they jumped through to put it together, but I'd be really interested to see the actual data for it, because it seems like they're going based on prepared meals rather than straight ingredients.
I.e. "McDonalds is cheaper than Whole Foods' food bar" which is kind of a stupid message to be sending when the problem could be solved by people just buying ingredients and cooking from scratch.

It doesn't affect tax dollars. My grandma was healthy and lived till 99. You know how many tax dollars she used up in her last ten years going in and out of the hospital just from being old? It all evens out you tool.

Probably because they actually exercise.

I'm not a big fan of meat, I eat chicken and fish exclusively. As much as I love chicken though, if you eat 3000 calories worth of chicken, you're going to get fat, no matter how healthy chicken is compared to other meats.

No one actually said anything about America being #1 in overweight citizens. I never claimed it was, no one (that I know of) in this topic claimed it was - so it's a waste of your time to post something like this.

That being said, if you actually look at some of the places on that list, many of them are very low isolated populations. Tokelau is an island with a staggering 1500~ people living there.

The sample sizes for most of these countries is simply not big enough to compete with the U.S., Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Taking that into consideration, the U.S. actually does fall into the top 5 when you take countries with small populations (sub-1 million) out.

If you were to include countries like that, then it might as well include cities as well.

Yeah I was so surprised when I went to Canada, so many slim fit people compared to that country.
