Well, mafia benefits from me feeling miserable enough to stay home from work today. Had nothing to do but catch up and feel awful.

Here to firstly clarify something about my role since questions have arisen:

To give everyone some idea for how my flavor jives with conspiracy target: Basically, JC was awesome in the beginning of mercs (seems like he had two merc picks in particular that were really working for him, one being Raiden early game), so awesome in fact that long after his awesomeness had subsided people were still after him for being awesome in the beginning.

For the record, I received no return from targeting IGCD, and I would receive one if he had used an action on someone (which would be re-directed onto me).

I chose him because I have close to zero familiarity with how scumboards choose who shoots, and thought that someone with less suspicion on them would be the person they would choose for shooting. I thought IGCD might be scum, but I also thought that some of his Corrik suspicion might come from being some kind of town power. Either way, I figured best case scenarios I was either giving town power information or preventing town better than me from getting killed by scum. But Lopen said somewhere today that scumboards usually pick the person with the most suspicion for shooting. So, I guess my bad for that particular rationale.

IGCD was not my first choice for a taunt. I was going to target Corrik but then he did that whole gambit with Lopen at the end with the vig thing...and I didn't know whether to believe him or not...so I decided if I was still around that I would target Corrik next night (I didn't think he was going to be the one that got shot last night lol). I wanted to target Corrik because the cop claim was throwing me for a loop (I spent at least a couple hours re-reading on Night 2 trying to decide whether I thought he had been scum bussing his team-mate or not before he flipped).

Also, I feel I should say that if taunt has any special meaning mafia meta-wise...I don't know it. It just seemed like a good video game descriptor of how my role works.

Also, I did a pretty thorough re-read of the first part of Day 1 and a good chunk of Day 2 because I knew I had some logical breaks somewhere down the line (I realized this because I did not read Johnbobb's posts as thoroughly as I needed to, I still had Kanz at a nulltell when he should have been firmly scummy in my eyes thanks to my role alone...and additionally, I realized that I was using Ben's joke in the beginning of the game as a Towntell when in reality it is a nulltell). I still think that either Johnbobb or Death is scum...but I don't think they both are. And if Johnbobb is town, I would put Death more at null then certain scum. Lopen seems to think that Johnbobb is the more likely of those two, and Mzero seems to be a firm believer on Death being scum. I mention this because:

Mzero and Lopen are both Town in my estimation as of today.

I have a double-edged theory that involves Johnbobb and Ben...but it all depends on what they flip which is frustrating. Going to vote Ben, then I am going to explain, because this one feels most likely.

I am currently running with the theory that I find to be most likely: if Death is scum, I think Ben and Oddity are as well...but my theory is more hinged on Ben and Oddity than it is on Death...Death is more like a caveat; might be scum, might not.

Essentially, I think that Ben might be scum power. What better way to deflect from suspicion from power than to claim PJ like Death did? To be clear, this is not about whether Ben was joking or not with his PJ miller. This is about how Death reacted, and how Oddity and Ben have interacted so far, and about Ben's actions today. I am breaking this into a few posts because there are a few distinct points to make for it. Going to start with Ben's behavior today because it is the easiest for me to layout, then I am going to go on to the more pressing pieces of my argument, which lie firmly between Oddity and Ben.

Also..this might take a while because I am compiling this from my notes which were not well-marked post#-wise for the purposes of quoting. So...I guess feel free to speculate while I am laying this out, town, cuz I may need to find some stuff from Day 1 and Topic 4....might post the main points of the argument and then throw quotes out later.

I just read him as town based on his reactions to getting lynched and his overall play. Plus I believe his explanations for why he did what he did. I also do not see the scum gambit for fake claiming PJ. Sure it took the heat off him that day....but wasnt ANY vanilla claim going to take the heat off him?

This is not to say that the first person who voted me was going to be scum...I am aware that my uncertainty has been inhibiting my ability to be as valuable or you know, credible, as I would like to be. Going to attempt to change that today.

The gambit itself honestly surprised me, but I 100% believe that it was crafted around my own nubbishness, because I think we can all agree that I have been extraordinarily naive this game.

I think this was a scum gambit, personally...I am to trying to figure how I would have reacted if I had in fact been town vanilla...I of course would have denied the charge, but I think there are enough dumb things that I have done in the past to build a solid case against me...if I had claimed vanilla instead of just straight up claiming my power role, I think I would have gotten destroyed.

The thing is, Ben claimed this immediately after I actually used my power. I am trying to figure if scum knew I was town power when they made this gambit.

I don't know enough about meta or flavor to know if scum would have their own flavor cop/tracker/whatever in this particular setup. At any rate, there's my two cents on that. Moving on to my main points.

I have had an original case, on Mzero early. As for John, while not original, he did cause me to unvote Death and then vote John. So if I had to pick scum off the player list I guess I'll just narrow it down real quick -

Scare - no actual cop, admittedly there could be some flavor shenanigans.
Death - need to go back and reread some stuff for him, tbqh. I'm still not entirely convinced, though if this were true then town would be 3 for 3 on day 2... errrmmmm....

Oh no, I was just trying to figure out your alignment. Now if you actually acted scummy when I did it to you, sure I'd push for your lynch. But look at IGCD. I did it to him instead (He DID claim vanilla), and It pushed me more in favor of liking him as Town. It was all about your reaction though. Idk what you even did in the past in this game lol (No offense, you just havent posted much); So I figured I'd try that to get words out of you so I could properly judge them.

One game I busted him dead to rights, he did his confidence routine, but I persevered, and then his scum role fucking flipped Town (it was bullshit) and I got annihilated for it.
