Was talking with someone at work about him the other day and he convinced me to watch Full Metal Jacket. I hadn't seen it since I was like 7, and obviously it didn't make much sense then but I really enjoyed it last night.
I was wondering what some of his other "must watch" movies are. Of course 2001: A Space Oddessy is a classic and so is A Clockwork Orange, but I really didn't like The Shining when I tried to watch it. Waaaaay too slow (felt the same way about the book, btw. One of the few Stephen King books I quit halfway thru because it was boring me to death). Anyway, probs gonna look at watching some more of his movies soon, so reccs? --- If her hips don't break, you didn't "carry" hard enough" -SpunkySix ... Copied to Clipboard!

I like The Shining for the most part, but I can see why Stephen King doesn't like what Kubrick did with it.
