New semester just started up today and my very first class... is this! Otaku Culture in Japan and is Transnational Relation.

So yeah the prof cosplays. Different cos each week, today was a Japanese version of Alice.

and the class is pretty much what it sounds like, just full-on info dump of ultra otaku life, he was showing a great deal of those creepy "anime masks" and pictures of giant groups of people wearing them at my uni lmao. There was also some pic of what looked like an online cam-lecture with a bunch of speakers around the world... also all wearing the creepy anime masks.

But in actual legit awesomes, the next week of classes he's just taking us on a tour of Akihabara, annnnnnnd in May we get a special guest, Junko Iwao aka the voice of Cardcaptor's Tomoyo. Sohype.

PS: lmao poor Vlado even in a nerd haven of his Nationalist Paradise, day 1 prof is going on about how Japan isn't really the "Otaku Center" of the world anymore because of how huge it is globally and how it's important to keep international otaku in mind as they're outnumber Japan
