I'm in Sydney for the first time without any support. I'm paying for my own shit, no-one gets to angrily grumble at me for not doing something they told me to - I'm totally free to do my own shit, and own up to the consequences of my potential mistakes.

The last time I was here, I tagged along with my sister during Mardi Gras. I had no idea how to get to this park she told me to get to, she had to go all the way back to get me - understandable gripes, but mind you I had like a shitty $30 phone without a GPS or any credit, it was night and I wasn't familiar to the area - but she also made a point to stick to a shitty friend of hers who like jumped trains and encouraged me to do it with her, and one time she used an adjacent train seat as a footrest and got chewed out by a guard for doing it and got shitty about it. She's a control freak moron, who has a fair point now and again, but who suffocates any other way than her own to feel big.

To be honest, I'm totally fucking terrified. I'm worried about getting robbed/mugged, I'm worried about running out of money and I'm worried about all my shit getting left behind or stolen. I'm so glad that I can do this my way for once - fucking finally, everyone babies me and forces me into doing shit their way - but it's also really scary.

Right now, though, I'm just kinda pissed off - it's nearly 9AM, my hotel's a 15 minute walk from Sydney Central station, but the check-in time is at 2PM. I have five hours of hauling my fucking luggage around like a moron.
