final hour count 87 hours about 6 were in multi...a couple hours of being tabbed out, still a long ass game that didn't feel like it was dragging until about 60 hours as someone doing pretty much every quest that wasn't one of those task. Final mission is great.

do people not understand the disable device mission or are people just especially redacted today?

two times today i've failed because not only am i the only one trying to get divces the rest of my team is on the other half of the map so they aren't even providing cover...or even at least taking the hydra/ascendent/krogans with them.

it's like, I hope you're an engineer or a sentinel so you can set up some form of defense while you solo the devices

also, krogan engineer makes me sad

she has the same power set as the ME3 MP default engineer (which is better than ME:A's), but she has that huge krogan hitbox which is bad for a lightly armored power based class

Been enjoying the game so far, but I keep getting bogged down due to all the million sidequests. I like how quests that can't currently be done (generally) say "on hold" somewhere, so I know not to waste energy searching around.

it's not as bad as DA:I, but yeah, 80 hours @.@ i'd keep saying, "okay i'll just do this quest and then i'll get back to the main story" from like 60 hours on and kept doing the side quest >_>

Getting from Nexus to any planet takes forever, so I don't have a "I'll put this menial garbage off for later" mindset. At least some of Eos' quests have been enjoyable, unlike DA:I's fetch-questy nightmare.

I've had one crash, but I think it was Origin's fault rather than the game's. Origin can get pissy when I alt-tab and do stuff in the background. It's happened with other games too.

It's like Inquisition on steroids.

I'm glad Eos had that radiation thing to coax you into going elsewhere otherwise I probably would have stayed there for 20 hours.

I like Andromeda a lot more than GOTY winner Dragon Age Inquisition. Game gets a little longish at times, but I have had a lot of fun with it. Don't know where all the "offensively bad writing and characters, what an insult to the series" backlash it has been getting is coming from. The only character that I couldn't fucking stand is Addison. She really was poorly put together. While no one on the Tempest is my favorite ME shipmate, there are no Jacobs or James Vegas here. Jaal and Drack might be up there with the best. This is just Mass Effect with a little more optimism and lightheartedness. I love how the characters just seem to be more...alive than in the other games. They chat with each other on the ship, walk around, have multi-part conversations while exploring with you.

I won't pretend there aren't some dumb quests (like the one to find 16 unscanned rocks), but since forward bases are instant fast travel and refill all your ammo, it's not as hectic after most of the map's explored. That one boring-sounding mission to crack the water tables where you end up fighting a huge-ass Remnant Architect was pretty sweet.

That's one thing I really appreciate about Andromeda. Squadmates actually talking to each other during exploration was very nice, something I did wish was done in the OT (tho ME3 did have them talking to each other on the Normandy)

That's a task, which is where most of the dull mmo quest go. And they separate them as task so you know they aren't really story relevant

I wonder how viable would it be to play a soldier that relies on non-cooldown based powers and guns

I'm thinking frag grenade, sticky grenade, and barricade?

Not every encampment resupplies power cells, so as someone who ran Barricade/Frag Grenade/Trip Mine all this time, it's not a super amazing loadout. On the bright side, you can carry as many weapons as you want, since the power cooldown penalty doesn't apply. Barricade is amazing, though...I'll probably keep that for surprise flanking.

LOL @ A Trail of Hope quest when you get given two crappy decisions for hostages, so you can just do the "save everyone" option than shoot the kett Cardinal anyway. I don't know if the weapon is randomized, but I had a shotgun out and it was hilarious. This game could use more sudden renegade actions.

I saved the hostages, then noticed I had the chance to shoot that kett in the face and took it. Shame I had the Revenant out so it had a bit less oomph

They probably aren't more than 3 parts or so, but if I was out there long enough, voice lines would carry out in a certain logical order over time and actually sound like a conversation with a beginning and end. I think each squad pairing probably had a couple and I'm not sure if they would repeat if concluded. They were cool human-like bonding moments.

A lot of random crew chatter when driving around is just one-liners about a subject trying to seem organically composed. It's very noticeable due to the oft-repeated order of speaking. For me, I'd get some okay convos, but it's always in Vetra-Ryder-Drack order, so the interchangable nature is pretty obvious. Not saying it's terrible or anything. Some convos are normal in a DA:I chit-chat way.
