I don't see how if you liked the original trilogy you wouldn't like this. Gameplay is improved and I'm enjoying colonizing the world's.

The only thing I don't really like is the scanner since it makes me feel like I have to look at everything with it in case there's that sweet sweet research points.

Playing through ME2 this very moment after finishing ME1. I have to say combat is the most enjoyable aspect, that's not to say other things aren't enjoyable, either. This is a really good game, probably the best RPG I've ever played.

I'll have to play Andromeda to judge for myself.

you should replay the trilogy. there's no shortage of silly facial expressions and lack luster animations. You can argue that the animations haven't improved like the textures and lighting has, which highlights the problem more, but you can't act like they haven't been there and expect to be taken seriously.

The only time the graphics/animations have been jarring is when you first meet clown makeup face chick for me. Beyond that it's been normal and they're so few and far between that when you aren't watching a clip montage on youtube they barely register as your playing.

Andromeda is more inconsistent than just being terrible across the board.

The faces are overall more expressive and can do more compared to the older games. Sometimes you can see the effort has been made.

But there are several scenes in the game with no effort made at all. Arriving at the Nexus is easily the biggest offender so far. The problem is because these faces are more complicated they require more work. So they sometimes do look worse than the older games. But not all the time.

Yeah, I'm really not liking the direction Bioware has been going with squadmates. Party members in Inquisition were hobbled by the lack of a proper tactics menu, and since you can't control them at all in Andromeda, they basically exist solely for banter.
