What exactly is the 25th Anniversary thing at the beginning referring to? None of these games came out in 1992

Maybe not if it has ONLINE MULTIPLAYER

Is that a reasonable possibility?

Square Enix has announced the Seiken Densetsu Collection for Switch. It will launch physically and digitally in Japan on June 1 for 4,800 yen.

The collection includes:

Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (Final Fantasy Adventure / Mystic Quest)
Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana)
Seiken Densetsu 3
Both Seiken Densetsu 2 and Seiken Densetsu 3 support multiplayer with up to three players.

I'm gonna say nah

Final Fantasy Adventure, originally released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden and later released in Europe as Mystic Quest, is a Final Fantasy spinoff and the first game in the Mana series.

I'm going to say it, this series really isn't that good.

It's a shame, because it always looked good, and SD3 has one of the beast soundtracks ever, and a multiplayer action RPG is a fantastic idea, it's just that the gameplay has never lived up to the potential or ever been designed well.

SD3 is great, even single player.

Also I think this being a non-VC release increases the odds of it being localized.

Single player is the only way I've ever played Secret of Mana. I don't really think playing it with other people would enhance the experience, but I guess I don't know for sure.

While there's some Mana fans here, has anyone played Adventure of Mana, the new SD1 remake for PSV (and mobiles, but **** playing it on something with no real buttons)? Any good?

And on topic... no Legend of Mana? Yeah, it was weird and the progression was confusing as hell, and it wasn't as good as the SNES games, and the series went downhill after it, but that game was still great fun with some amazing artwork and music.

Adventure of Mana is alright. I don't think SD1 is that great, but it's a pretty good remake of that game if you like it.

I dunno, we never got Wii's Dragon Quest I-III NES/SNES collection, and half of that was released already back in the day. I was hoping they'd reuse the original translations for NES and then have the SNES versions done in the style they've been using since VIII.

The mobile ports for DQ1-3 use new translations but they also borrow from the original translation a little bit. Monsters, items, and spells are in line with the modern name schemes. Some towns use their names from the NES and some are changed. Dialogue in 1 and 2 is a new translation and leans more into humor like the rest, but is still Elizabethan English, though perhaps less severe as it was originally. As for 3, The dialogue is normal with a few places having light accents, but when you go into Alefgard at the end, people talk like they do in 1 and 2.
