I love Red Hot Chili Peppers, for example, and I won't act like they often make sense to me. I still wouldn't say MOST songs, or say that they're not worthwhile; what better joy is there sometimes than singing along to some of your favorite songs while you're riding home? It's a fair opinion though to say that in music, the lyrics are often second to or only complimenting what I consider the real strength of music: instruments.
