Er, her episodes on DS9 (particularly the first one) aren't nearly as bad as most of her drivel on TNG. You may have missed a surprisingly OK Lwaxana Troi episode.

Good call. She's probably the most annoying recurring character in the franchise, discounting Doctor Pulawski (who was not technically a main character).

I'd be careful about skipping episodes from the second season onward, though. The show gets more and more serialized as it goes on. It might not seem so while you're watching season two, but later on you'll realize beginning there it really starts planting seeds for arcs.

Yeah, it's mostly OK for skipping things here and there.

For the record though, you skipped the ep where Odo really comes into his own. You also skipped the ep in which he turns into goo visibly for the first time, so just bear that in mind. It's nothing major, of course, but I think the next time he does it, it's written like, "OK, the viewers have already seen this, cut to the chase", so yeah. :P
