Board 8 > Why haven't any of the networks broken the news on Andy Griffith's death yet?

It shouldn't take this long for them to confirm it, Reuters and a bunch of other news agencies are reporting it and I assume someone in an official capacity knows about his death by now. Figured CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC would all be flashing their Breaking News graphics and maybe even one or more of the networks would've broken in.

I understand wanting to wait to confirm, but apparently he died this morning, you'd figure that medical personnel or a cop would've been called to the scene to make it official by now.

He was taken to the hospital this morning, that much IS official.

I think the other networks just want an official statement

it was on CNN's website this morning but it got taken down. They said some dude named Friday confirmed it, but it read something like he died on Friday.

MSNBC just broke it live on air, it's up on CNN's website now too. They'll probably break the news on TV after this Higgs Boson story they're doing right now.
