"Hot enough for ya?" doesn't literally mean "Is the temperature high enough for your liking?"

60. 20-40% humidity. Mostly cloudy. Slight breeze.

That or rain.

according to yahoo it's 82 here. I'd prefer the hottest days of summer to be no more than 60 though (with very low humidity)

I don't see how this can interpreted any other way unless it's meant sarcastically and then I'd say it's a pretty poor attempt at sarcasm or my sarcasm detector was just broken today. Either way, doesn't really matter

Pardon me? If this is some idiomatic English expression I haven't heard of it. I'm foreign so I'm sorry I don't know every single little thing there is to know about English. But hey, instead of being passive agressive you could've also just explained what exactly it is that I haven't picked up on. But I guess this is board 8 after all

Hot enough for ya is an American way of beginning a conversation about the weather.

It's not an actual question about what temperature you prefer, but rather a comment on how hot it is. Therefore, one response that makes perfect sense is "not at all because it is not hot."

Just cloudy sucks

I want either full on warm sunshine with a cool breeze or nice light rain.

Even with the rain some sunshine makes it better.

Unfamiliar with the idiom or not the casual language of the question and answers should've served as a hint. If all that stuff is really laid back you can usually feel safe assuming that there's meaning behind just the words there.

And if it didn't, it should now, because I told you so.
