Spoken like a true hater...LOL

Seriously man, Spain may have been not so great this tournament but they were by far the best in Euro 2008 and especially WC 2010. They are an amazing team, you can't get around it.

They impressed in 2008, I can't deny that. They won fair and square there.

But in 2010, they won largely thanks to help from the refs - Villa's goal against Portugal was clear offside, Germany didn't receive a 100% penalty in the semi, then, in the final, every little challenge resulted in a Spanish player rolling on the pitch and the referee awarded them fouls every time, not to mention book the Dutch every chance he got.

It was a disgrace directed by FIFA.

This year, they've been dry and fruitless. By far the weakest out of the last three tournaments for them. Croatia should have eliminated them, but the referee didn't give them a clear penalty. They beat France cleanly, but France played the worst I've seen them in years. Then Ronaldo went and botched it when Portugal had a chance to finally remove them from the tournament.

I hope Italy does what has been way overdue.

to be fair on Ronaldo's chance, the ball from Meireles was less than great.

Juventus
Palermo-Juventus-Juventus-Juventus
Juventus
Juventus-AC Milan-Roma
Man City-Milan

So really only the defense has this chemistry.

that's usually the case. Italy has a stellar, as they do this tournament, defense and it extends to midfield play. the offense is always the problem. Ballotelli has quelled some of it

and yeah if it isn't for penalties spain never gets past italy in 2008 anyway. Put a good defense in front of spain and they stumble. See 2008, see this year in group stages. Sans that one penalty win, Spain has never beaten Italy in a major tournament. Mark my words, like Germany, they're beating Spain.
